In the season finale of MTV’s Making the Band 4, we saw Diddy get very excited to work with Donnie. I know that they haven’t showed much of Donnie in the series, but I really think that they saved the best for last. I actually feel that Donnie’s album is going to be better than either Danity Kane’s or Day 26′s. He has a very commercial appeal to him, that all demographics appreciate. Plus, he actually appears to possess a genuine character about him. Maybe that’s why Diddy had a gut feeling about this kid.
We haven’t seen Diddy get this pumped about any artist in a while. He definitely sees potential in Donnie, and even manned the boards for his first single, “Take You There.” To work directly with Diddy was probably both intimidating and awe-inspiring for Donnie at the same time. But he stepped up and produced results under pressure. That’s why this kid is going to go far in this biz.
Donnie and Diddy…that has a good ring to it.
